Certified Nurse Assistant - Sierra 6 Medical

About the role

This position provides personal hygiene, mobility, safety, and comfort to Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric patients as directed by the professional nurse. The incumbent must be knowledgeable of the uses of equipment specific to the area of employment.

Responsibilities

• Directly provides or assists in activities of daily living to patients.
• Administers medication and IVs as per the professional nurse's orders.
• Formulates and implements the patient care plan.
• Performs nursing procedures and resolves unusual circumstances.
• Maintains accuracy in documentation from pre-admission to discharge.
• Schedules diagnostic tests and treatments without conflict.
• Maintains unit supplies and communicates with other departments.
• Assists in other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid CA or NV Driver's license and ability to pass Renown Health's Department of Motor Vehicle Report criteria.
• Current auto insurance.
• AHA BLS certification.
• State of Nevada CNA certification.
• Working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Six months CNA experience preferred.

• Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
