Certified Nurse Assistant (Part-Time, Night)

About the Role

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for delivering patient care to assigned patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed, professional nurse. Utilizing the Jean Watson Nursing Theory of Caring and the Relationship Based Care Model, the CNA provides assistance to patients in accordance with their functional and developmental needs. This role supports the mission, vision, values, and expectation of excellence of NorthBay Health.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist patients with functional and developmental needs.
• Demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing care for Geriatric, Adult, Adolescent, and Pediatric patients.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a certified program for CNAs with a current California CNA certificate.
• Current AHA or equivalent CPR certification.
• Minimum one year of experience as a CNA in an acute care setting (preferred).

Pay

Hourly salary range: $26.05 – $31.69 (offered rate based on years of experience). NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework with a step-based system (Steps 1–5) for staff-level positions, where Step 5 represents 20 or more years of experience in the role.

Remote Work

NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs. Remote work is not supported in Washington, Ohio, Wyoming, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or outside of the United States.
