About the role
This position provides personal hygiene, mobility, safety, and comfort to Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric patients as directed by the professional nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living and emotional support.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene, mobility, safety, and comfort to patients as directed by the professional nurse.
- Use equipment specific to the area of employment as needed.
- Demonstrate proficiency in body mechanics, fire safety, infection control, patient safety, CPR, and safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Communicate effectively with diverse types of people and respond to requests from different people.
- Maintain accuracy and document patient care from pre-admission to discharge.
- Schedule diagnostic tests and treatments without conflict.
- Maintain unit supplies and interdepartmental communication.
Requirements
- Valid CA or NV Driver's license and ability to pass Renown Health's Department of Motor Vehicle Report criteria.
- Current auto insurance.
- AHA BLS certification.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada CNA certification.
Qualifications
- Education: Working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Experience: Six months CNA experience preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of equipment specific to the area of employment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Accuracy and documentation skills.
- Ability to respond to requests from different people.
- Ability to maintain unit supplies and interdepartmental communication.
