Certified Nurse Assistant CNA Now Offering 12 Hour Shifts

About the role

The Quarters at Des Peres seeks compassionate and thoughtful Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) who share our passion for exceptional care in senior living. We partner with a network of skilled nursing centers to support a small team environment of caring professionals.

Responsibilities

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair and incontinence care
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding
• Assists resident with range of motion exercises
• Movement to wheelchair or activity areas
• Ambulates residents for short distances within the facility
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed
• Provides direct and indirect resident care services
• Maintains communication with residents and their families, and facility staff
• Communicates changes in residents' clinical conditions to the nursing team
• Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general equivalency preferred
• Must pass a state-issued exam for CNA certification in Missouri
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
• Effective communication skills with residents and their family members, and facility staff
