Certified Nurse Aide CNA

Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will perform basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including obtaining and recording vital signs, assisting patients with personal care and activities of daily living, reporting abnormal findings, and maintaining patient rooms and common areas.

Minimum Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Required Certifications/Licenses

• American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR or BLS Provider
• Registration on the Virginia Board of Nursing Aide Registry

Minimum Work Experience

One (1) year as a CNA, Respiratory Care Assistant, Rehab Tech, Certified Medical Assistant, EKG Tech, EMT, Phlebotomist, or equivalent clinical experience is preferred.
