Nursing Assistants are friends and companions to guests, building relationships with patients and families while providing assistance with activities of daily living. CNAs notice changes in mood and behavior that help the clinical team recognize potential medical issues and are a fundamental part of the nursing team. Facility located at 375 S Main St, Romeo, MI 48065 (downtown Romeo, 2 blocks south of 32 Mile Road, right off M‑53/Vandyke, along the Macomb‑Orchard trail behind St. Clement church).

Responsibilities

You will promote hospitality and excellent customer service in every interaction with guests, families, and visitors, using kind words and encouragement to foster a positive, healing environment. You will perform and document patient care according to individualized care plans, including bathing, skin care, preventative and supportive care, morning and evening mouth care, shaving, and dressing. You will also document nutritional intake, blood pressure, temperature/pulse/respiration (TPR), catheter care, bowel/bladder training, weights, turning, positioning, range of motion, and ambulation. Additionally, you will support physical, psychological, occupational, speech, restorative, and recreational therapies by encouraging continued well‑being and observe/report significant changes in routine or condition to the nursing team.

Requirements

Must have caregiving experience and have completed an approved Nursing Assistant training program. Current CNA Nursing Assistant Certification from the State of Michigan is required.
