About the role

At Watermark Retirement Communities, we are seeking Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) to join our team in assisted living and memory care settings. Our CNAs are known as NAYAS, which means GUIDE, PERSON OF WISDOM, and LEADER in ancient Sanskrit. Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and professional care to residents in assisted living and memory care environments
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating
• Monitor and record vital signs and health status of residents
• Administer medications and follow up with residents and families regarding medication administration
• Document resident care plans and progress in electronic health records
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care needs
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of living areas
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment

Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
• 1-year experience as a CNA in an assisted living, memory care, or home care setting
• Able to work weekends and holidays
• Diligent in paperwork and documentation
• Excellent work ethic and strong assessment skills
• Computer skills with online systems
• Interested in continuous learning and skill development

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
