Certified Nurse Aide 7a-7p

Duties

• Works with residents to maintain, improve and/or enhance each resident's quality of care and quality of life
• Provides, completes, and documents resident care as assigned in a timely and accurate manner
• Attends and participates in facility in-service programs
• PRACTICES good infection control techniques in all aspects of resident care
• Reports any change of condition to charge nurse
• Responds timely to resident requests, including call light response
• Observes residents rights including privacy, dignity, and others when providing care to residents
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, other staff members, and management
• Affords assistance to residents for social functions and meals in a timely manner as assigned or as indicated on plan of care
• Performs other duties as needed by residents

Qualifications

• MUST have completed an approved training program and passed competency examinations for Certified Nurse Assistant

• This job requires good physical and mental health
• PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES may include lifting up to fifty pounds, rotating and assisting residents who are partially or totally dependent
