Responsibilities
- Assure resident safety
- Assist with bathing, showering, shampooing, shaving, combing hair, dressing, and nail care for assigned residents
- Follow resident assignment schedule as directed by the charge nurse
- Lift, move, and transfer residents as required
- Answer call lights in a timely manner
- Assist or feed residents, ensuring they remain clean and dry
- Provide toileting or incontinent care
- Maintain supportive, protective, and safe environments for residents
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Louisiana
- Good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in Louisiana
- Ability to understand, remember, and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
- Clear communication skills and adequate hearing to interact with residents
