Certified Medication Aide PRN 2pm to 10pm Mon-Fri

As a Certified Medication Aide, you will administer oral and topical medications to residents as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations and facility policies. Responsibilities
- Administers medication as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration.
- Records the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately.
- Observes for and reports any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
- Administers PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
Qualifications
- State certification as a Nurse Aide is required.
- State certification as an Advanced Medication Aide is a plus.
- State approved medication administration certification.
- Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nurse aide.
- Highly developed observation skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
