Certified Medication Aide (MA)

About the role

Provide medication assistance to patients in their homes.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed by a physician
• Monitor patient’s response to medications
• Document all medication administration and patient observations accurately
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during medication administration

Requirements

• Active Certified Medication Aide within South Dakota, or ability to apply for reciprocity/endorsement
• Maintain required certification/qualifications and associated standards
• One year of experience preferred
• Must be 18 years of age

Skills

• Knowledge of medication administration procedures
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
