Certified Medication Aide Double Weekend (7am to 11pm)

About the role

As the Certified Medication Aide at Meadowlake Retirement Village in Oklahoma City, OK, you will administer oral and topical medications to residents. These tasks are performed as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations, and consistent with facility policies. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team recognized for their achievements and contributions, supporting the mission to provide superior clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services that meet the wants, needs, and expectations of our patients and residents.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with any state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration.
• Records the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately.
• Observes for and reports any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
• Administers PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.

Requirements

• State certification as a nurse aide is required.
• State approved medication administration certification.
• Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nurse aide.
• Highly developed observation skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
