Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

About the role

A Certified Medication Aide (CMA) plays a vital role in our community, providing direct care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will pass medications as prescribed by the physician, observe and report changes in residents' conditions, and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies. Your warm demeanor will help build relationships with residents, families, and colleagues while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed by a physician
• Provide direct care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition, attitude, reaction, appetite, and behavior
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and facility policies
• Deliver excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, families, and colleagues

Requirements

• Current Kansas CMA license
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
• Desire to work with the elderly
• Experience in geriatric nursing is preferred but not required

Pay

Competitive salary up to $19.80 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time position with 12-hour shifts (7 am to 7 pm).

• Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
• Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
• 3-day weekends every other weekend
• Never work more than 3 days in a row
• 7 days off every 14 days
• Average 2 hours of overtime every week
