Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

Providence Living Center in Topeka, KS is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join their team. Responsibilities

• Pass medications as prescribed by the physician
• Provide direct care to residents, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures
• Observe and report any change in condition, attitude, reaction, appetite, and behavior to residents
• Maintain confidentiality and follow Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) requirements as well as uphold facility policies and procedures
• Build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and colleagues with a warm and friendly demeanor

Qualifications

• Current Kansas CMA license
• Current CPR certification
• Desire to work with the elderly
• Experience in geriatric nursing is preferred but not required
• Trustworthy and respectful of others
• Dependable, professional, and a team player
• Enjoy serving and caring for seniors
• Ability to establish a good rapport with others and communicate effectively

Schedule

This rehabilitation nursing position works 12-hour shifts. Shifts are from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The schedule alternates between 6 days on and 2 days off, with 3-day weekends every other weekend. No more than 3 consecutive days of work, with 7 days off every 14 days. Average 2 hours of overtime per week.
