Certified Medication Aide 6PM-6AM

Full-time position with 12-hour shifts. Benefits available for full-time employees.

About the role

A Certified Medication Aide (CMA) works under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure medication administration is completed timely and accurately, maintaining the highest degree of quality resident care at all times.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing
• Previous patient care experience preferred
• Current certification for Medication Aide

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor
• Follows charting guidelines for PRN documentation
• Reports medication reorders
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education, and in-service as required
• Documents inventory of drugs on appropriate forms
• Maintains current certification for Medication Aide
