Role Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant with CST is a versatile healthcare professional supporting physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with information, services, and support
• Maintain medical supplies and equipment
• Verify patient details, record medical histories, and prepare for exams
• Measure vital signs, conduct preliminary tests, and report findings
• Support office procedures, safeguard patient confidentiality, and perform clinical duties within scope
• Coordinate surgical scheduling, prepare charts, and support in-office procedures
• Ensure safety and compliance standards are met; perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Stay current professionally and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting or Surgical Technician program
• Current Medical Assisting or Surgical Technician Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of infection control, sterile techniques, and clinical procedures
• Effective communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Professional appearance, empathetic approach, and sound judgment

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, and stooping/kneeling
• Occasional sitting, lifting up to 35 pounds, and carrying
