Certified Medical Assistant Primary Care

Location: Franklin, WI. Facility: Franklin Medical Office Building. Department: Primary Care. Schedule: Full-time, day shift.

Responsibilities

• Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse.
• Performs select clinical duties.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Performs essential clerical and materials management duties, including answering calls, maintaining records, stocking supplies, and keeping a clean, organized work environment.
• May document the provider's encounter with patients.
• Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider.
• Transcribes patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• One or more of the following Medical Assistant credentials obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date:
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association
  • Registered Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Registry of Medical Assistants
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. (Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.)
• Prior Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Schedule

Full-time, day shift; Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. No weekends or major holidays.
