Welcoming and Interviewing Patients

Welcoming and interviewing patients, accurately measuring and documenting vital signs, and preparing examination rooms to ensure a smooth, comfortable visit.

Aiding in Treatments

Assisting with treatments as directed and supervised by the providers.

Performing Clinical Duties

Performing select clinical duties and providing essential administrative support, including managing patient records, answering calls, and handling necessary charting.

Documenting Provider-Patient Encounters

Documenting provider-patient encounters, meticulously listing diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions.

Transcribing Patient Orders

Transcribing patient orders for lab work, testing, and medications.

Minimum Requirements

  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • MEDICAL ASSISTANT: Obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

One year of medical assistant experience is preferred.
