About the role
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching, a strong background in medical assisting, and the ability to inspire students to excel in their healthcare careers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum standards.
- Teach fundamental medical assistant skills, including clinical procedures, administrative tasks, and patient interaction.
- Provide hands-on instruction in laboratory settings and clinical simulations.
- Assess student performance through evaluations, assignments, and practical exams.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and success.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in medical assistance to ensure course content remains relevant.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance program offerings and student experience.
Qualifications
- KSA's/Required Qualifications: Certified Clinical Medical assistant with 2 years experience in the field. OR an LPN/RN with 2 years of hands on experience. Previous teaching or training experience preferred, but not required.
- In-depth knowledge of medical assisting procedures, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Mountain Gateway Community College.
