Certified Medical Assistant- Family Practice

You will be part of a collaborative, physician-led team that works as one and puts patients at the center of everything we do. Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures
• Assist with immunizations or injections (certified medical assistants)
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests
• Maintain clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
• Active medical assistant certification through one of the following for several clinical specialties (Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Practice):
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required
• May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
• Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care
• Prior experience using an electronic medical record (e.g. Epic) preferred
• College graduates from a health sciences program interested in gaining patient care experience and pursuing a career in healthcare are welcome to apply

Pay

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43–23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97–24.57. Actual pay is determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.

Schedule

• Full-Time, 40 hours per week
• Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, no Saturdays
• Location: Mokena, IL
• Minimal travel as needed
