Responsibilities
- Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks.
- Assists in obtaining patient histories, taking vital signs, preparing charts, and assisting with medical examinations.
- Affords assistance to doctors during examinations and treatments.
- Performs routine procedures according to established protocols (including but not limited to phlebotomy, EKGs, dressing changes, wound cultures, IM injections).
- Maintains and stocks medicines and medical supplies as needed.
- Adheres to safety, environmental, and infection control methods.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program with a certification in EKG.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records.
- Passes pre-employment Level 2 clearance, which includes a background check and drug screen.
