What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary clinical assistant to the Lead Physician during exams, consults, and follow-ups.
- Perform high-quality phlebotomy (must be experienced and confident), including venipuncture for advanced panels like Boston Heart.
- Collect, prepare, and process diagnostic samples (blood, urine, swabs) following strict protocols.
- Maintain a pristine, organized, and patient-ready clinic environment at all times.
- Aid with medication reconciliation, prior authorizations, refill coordination, and basic clinical documentation.
- Greet members with warmth, professionalism, and efficiency — embodying the PrimaryMD “Human Advantage.”
- Build trust and rapport with high-net-worth professionals, executives, and families.
- Anticipate needs before they’re stated — from a glass of water to ensuring a seamless visit flow.
- Communicate clearly and confidently across in-person, phone, and digital channels.
- Assist with onboarding new members — scheduling, intake, medical record gathering, testing coordination.
- Maintain impeccable documentation, inventory, and clinical supply management.
- Support care coordinators and operations staff with follow-up tasks, referrals, and continuity of care.
- Embrace technology: forms, task lists, software tools, automations, and internal workflows.
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with active certification in California.
- Strong phlebotomy skills and comfort with all aspects of sample collection.
- 2+ years of experience in primary care, concierge medicine, urgent care, or a similarly fast-paced clinical setting.
- Warm, empathetic, confident communicator.
- Ability to build relationships and deliver a luxury-level member experience.
- Naturally anticipatory — you notice details others miss.
