Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) - Primary Care Float

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients
• Collecting medical histories and vital signs
• Assisting with procedures such as catheterizations and diagnostic tests
• Handling telephone communications with patients and healthcare facilities
• Managing administrative tasks like check-in/out, appointment scheduling, benefit verification, and referrals
• Administering medications, injections, and point-of-care testing as directed by providers
• Providing patient education and assisting with prescription refills
• Maintaining department-specific competencies and documentation in electronic medical records

Qualifications

• Certifications such as RMA, CMA, CCMA, or similar
• BLS certification within 30 days
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to perform clinical procedures and provide patient support
