Responsibilities

• Taking patient histories and vital signs
• Preparing patients for examination
• Assisting physicians during exams and procedures
• Cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment
• Collecting and processing laboratory specimens

• Performing basic laboratory tests
• Instructing patients about medication and special diets

Requirements

• Licensure or other certifications: Active Registry or Certification as a Medical Assistant through a recognized certification body
• Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
• Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
