Certified Medical Assistant - Clinical Operations

Responsibilities

• Patient coordination: Own inbound patient escalations end-to-end, conduct patient outreach, audit prescriptions, and support provider questions.
• Provider support & queue management: Assign and monitor daily queues, rebalance workloads, and assist with provider onboarding logistics.
• Pharmacy & platform coordination: Work with compounding pharmacies, triage platform bugs, and support provider licensure and credentialing operations.
• Practice operations coverage: Provide coverage for practice operations administrative work and support provider training.

Requirements

• Current CMA certification (AAMA, AMT/RMA, NHA/CCMA, or equivalent)
• 2+ years of medical assistant or clinical support experience; telehealth, pharmacy, or weight-management/GLP-1 experience strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of medication terminology, prescriptions, and dosing conventions
• Excellent patient-facing phone manner and the ability to handle confused or frustrated patients
• Technically proficient with EHRs, scheduling platforms, Slack, and Google Workspace
• Ability to learn new software quickly and troubleshoot issues independently

Qualifications

• Self-directed and reliable in a remote environment
• Clear, professional written communication
• Clear understanding of scope of practice coordination and communication of clinical information without providing medical advice

Skills

• Medication terminology and dosing conventions
• Phone communication and de-escalation skills
• Software proficiency (EHRs, scheduling platforms, Slack, Google Workspace)
• Ability to learn new systems quickly
