Responsibilities
- Aid healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked.
- Obtain and document patient histories and vital signs accurately.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and submit specimens for lab analysis as needed.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician.
- Educate patients on medication, health maintenance, and disease prevention.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records efficiently.
Requirements
- Must be a Certified Medical Assistant with current certification.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
