Certified Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
• Affords assistance to provider with patient workflow and maintenance of clinical records
• Carries out orders and performs related duties as per standard operating procedure
• Maintains laboratory proficiency and required logs and records
• Facilitates coordination, management, and documentation of medications, supplies, and referrals
• Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
• Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance

Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Certified Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved school
• 6 months+ of supervised medical assistant experience preferred
• Experience in EKG and phlebotomy
• CPR certification
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s license and auto insurance

Working Conditions/Physical Demand

• Working indoors with telephone, copier, fax machine, computer, printer, centrifuge, electric exam table, glucometer, nebulizer, needles/syringes, oxygen equipment, personal automobile, scales, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, thermometer, venipuncture equipment, wheelchair.
• In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the compensation range for this position is USD $16.00 to USD $24.00.
