Certified Medical Assistant

About the role

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will play a crucial role in our care team, providing direct patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and managing administrative tasks. Your expertise will help ensure patients receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
• May be required to collect urine drug specimens, draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or nasal administration.
• May perform routine tests including but not limited to EKGs.

Requirements

• High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or High School GED General Studies, upon hire and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, upon hire
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, upon hire or Certified Medical Assistant AAMA, upon hire or Certified Medical Assistant NHA, upon hire or National Certified Medical Assistant NCCT, upon hire or National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant NAHP, upon hire or Registered Medical Assistant AMT, upon hire or Registered Medical Assistant, upon hire or Cert Med Asst - MMCI, upon hire and Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Preferred

• Two year medical assistant experience

Pay

The posted compensation range is $19.44 - $27.45 /hour, reflecting the lowest to highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.

Schedule

This position is full-time, with hours/pay period of 80, and a weekly schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The shift is a Day shift, and remote work is not available.
