ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Install, maintain, inspect, and repair high-security locking systems, safes, vaults, doors, and access control hardware
- Service and troubleshoot mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical locking devices
- Perform lock rekeying, combination changes, and key control management in accordance with security directives
- Support secure facility construction, renovation, and decommissioning projects
- C Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with federal, agency, and intelligence community security standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, key inventories, and access changes
- Respond to emergency lockouts or security incidents as required
- Coordinate with security officers, engineers, and facilities personnel to resolve vulnerabilities
- Protect classified information and follow all handling, storage, and operational security procedures
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A Certified Locksmith (e.g., ALOA, SAVTA, or equivalent recognized certification)
- Minimum 3 years of professional locksmith experience, preferably in government, military, or high-security environments
- Demonstrated experience with high-security locking systems and key control programs
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail
