Certified Instrument Processing Tech, SPD, Full-time, Second Shift

Responsibilities

• Perform all Level I sterile processing duties, including decontamination, clean preparation, tray assembly, sterilization, distribution, and acquisition of instruments and supplies for the OR and L/D departments.
• Train and precept new staff members.
• Oversee processing department equipment.
• Identify specialty instruments and supplies.
• Complete all paperwork associated with sterilization processes to ensure patient safety and meet accreditation requirements.
• Maintain and recognize sterility of supplies and trays.
• Deliver and interpret requested supplies/items.
• Prioritize and respond appropriately to a variety of situations, including high‑volume case organization.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CRCST program or a Surgical Technology program.
• CRCST certification required; non‑Surgical Technology graduates must maintain annual CRCST certification.
• At least 1 year of sterile processing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail in performing job duties and responsibilities.
