Certified Inspector 2

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Chief Building Official or designee, performs residential and commercial inspections to ensure compliance with state and local building codes, approved construction plans, and applicable safety regulations.

• Reviews construction-related documentation
• Prepares inspection reports
• Maintains records
• Communicates with contractors, property owners, and the public regarding code compliance and corrective actions during construction
• Communicates as directed by the Chief Building Official with permit holders/contractors/architects/engineers, regarding status of construction plan/code compliance
• Affords assistance in the dissemination of Chief Building Official's orders
