Job Responsibilities
- Affords assistance with prescribed exercise and ROM activities.
- Provides help with toileting, positioning, and transfer activities, including frequent turning and positioning for bed-bound residents/patients.
- Assists or helps with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) such as personal hygiene, grooming, skin care, and nail care.
- Aids in medication administration, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Supports light housekeeping tasks within the individual's personal unit or room, including changing of bed linen and patient laundry.
- Assists with feeding and meal preparation.
- Collects and reports temperature, pulse, and respiration readings under supervision of the Hospice Nurse.
- Communicates any changes in the resident's/patient's condition to the Hospice Nurse and, if applicable, to the facility nurse, documenting the details including the date and time of the report and the recipient.
Requirements
- HHA License in the state of NJ.
- Understanding of the hospice philosophy.
- At least one year of experience working in hospice.
- Reliable transportation.
