Job Responsibilities
- Affords assistance with prescribed exercise and ROM activities.
- Provides help with toileting, positioning, and transfer activities, as well as frequent turning and positioning for bed-bound residents/patients.
- Assists or helps with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) such as personal hygiene, grooming, skin care, and nail care.
- Aids in medication administration, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies' guidelines.
- Assists with light housekeeping tasks, including changing of bed linens and patient laundry.
- Supports feeding and meal assistance.
- Collects and reports temperature, pulse, and respiration data under supervision of the Hospice Nurse.
- Communicates any changes in the resident's/patient's condition to the Hospice Nurse and relevant facility personnel, documenting the information accurately.
Requirements
- HHA License in the state of NJ.
- Understanding of the hospice philosophy.
- At least one year of experience working in hospice.
- Reliable transportation.
