Certified Home Health Aide FT-Assisted Living Program-Trenton

Position Overview

SUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job): Provides personal care to Assisted Living residents. Provides light housekeeping and maintains the cleanliness and neatness of resident apartments. Completes residents' laundry. Assists with meals including light meal preparation or warming.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Nursing assistant or home health certification.
• Experience: One year of experience preferred.

Other Credentials

• AHA Heartsaver AED.
• Drivers License.

Knowledge and Skills

• Possesses a friendly demeanor.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Medical experience preferred.

Special Training

• Experience with direct and indirect patient care.
• Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities: Develops strong interpersonal relationships with coworkers and resident base. Usual Work Day: 8 Hours.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Frequent physical demands include: Sitting, Standing, Walking, Climbing (e.g., stairs or ladders), Carry objects, Push/Pull, Twisting, Bending, Reaching forward, Reaching overhead, Squat/kneel/crawl, Wrist position deviation, Pinching/fine motor activities, Keyboard use/repetitive motion, Taste or Smell, Talk or Hear.
• Occasional physical demands include: Continuous physical demands include: Lifting Floor to Waist 35 lbs. Lifting Waist Level and Above 35 lbs.
• Sensory Requirements include: Accurate Near Vision, Accurate Far Vision, Accurate Color Discrimination, Accurate Depth Perception, Accurate Hearing.
• Anticipated Occupational Exposure Risks Include the following: Bloodborne Pathogens, Chemical, Airborne Communicable Disease, Extreme Temperatures, Radiation, Uneven Surfaces or Elevations, Extreme Noise Levels, Dust/Particulate Matter, Other (List).
