Certified Home Health Aid (CHHA)

About the role

Right at Home, In-Home Care & Assistance, is seeking to hire a Skilled Certified Home Health Aide or Companion Caregiver to make a difference by providing compassionate and meaningful care in the areas of Middlesex, Mercer and Northern Monmouth Counties. Help seniors stay at home and age in place by providing support with their daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Record and report data as medically necessary
• Assist with daily functions such as dressing or taking a bath
• Aid in planning for doctor's appointments, other meetings, and organizing transportation
• Perform facility work, including light housekeeping, prepping and cooking meals, grocery shopping, and reporting patients' health status to nurses
• Teach patients self-care skills

Requirements

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
• NJ Licensed as Certified Home Health Aide a must
• 2-step PPD Physical within the last 12 months
• MMR
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Reliable transportation
