MaineHealth is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to perform evaluations, develop plans, and carry out treatments aimed at restoring function, relieving pain, and preventing disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part. This role helps patients reach their maximum performance in accordance with the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider.
Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations to assess patient needs and functional limitations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Carry out therapeutic interventions to restore function and reduce pain.
- Prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part.
- Assist patients in achieving maximum performance as outlined in their Plan of Care.
Requirements
- Degree in occupational or physical therapy from an accredited program.
- Successful completion of a clinical internship.
- Current State of Maine License as an Occupational or Physical Therapist.
- Current BLS certification (or must obtain within 30 days of start date).
- 3 years of licensed experience.
- 4,000 hours of direct practice in hand therapy.
- Certification as a Hand Therapist (CHT).

Pay
The pay range for this position is $83,324.80 to $112,736.00 per year. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
