About the role

We are seeking a qualified, experienced Certified GM Technician who is eager to build their career with us!

Responsibilities

  • Create an exceptional customer experience while building customer loyalty.
  • Swiftly and accurately perform automotive repairs including engine management systems, fuel management systems, transmission, electrical alignment, steering, suspension, brakes, etc.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, alignment, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Follow repair escalation process.
  • Adhere to all factory warranty requirements including time punches, accurate documentation, parts returns.
  • Perform vehicle inspections.
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed.
  • Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
  • Keep a clean work area including bay, toolbox and surrounding area.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to complete all phases of Automotive Repair.
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle.
  • Must know and understand the dealership computer systems.
  • Must attend company and factory training.
  • Must stay current with manufacturer warranty requirements.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain good relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Must be able to answer customers' technical questions regarding vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs.
  • Must have knowledge of automotive systems in general.
  • Must be able to review service orders and inspect the vehicle for necessary repairs.
  • Must have knowledge of new models and product improvements, based on technical service bulletins, etc.
  • Must have knowledge of warranty guidelines and ability to relate them to warranty service repair orders.
  • Must be able to communicate well with co-workers throughout repair process.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for three or more hours at a time.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and meet company MVR policy requirements.
  • Must have your own tools.
  • Two (2) or more years' experience preferred.
