About the role
An allied health professional integral to the surgical team, supporting surgeons and assisting during procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with sterile techniques, tissue manipulation, and operative visualization.
- Supporting patient positioning, wound closure, and use of surgical instruments.
- Completing case carts, operating room setup, and maintaining cleanliness of OR and equipment.
- Communicating effectively with OR staff and managing supply inventory.
- Providing call coverage during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology from an accredited program.
- National Certification as a Surgical First Assistant (NBSTSA).
- American Heart Association BLS certification within one month of hire.
- Preferred minimum of one year of CSFA acute care experience.
