Remote 12+ month contract position. Only candidates with an active Epic Willow Ambulatory certification and a North Carolina pharmacist license will be considered.
About the role
The Technical Specialist will serve as the primary build and support contact for the Epic Willow Ambulatory Pharmacy & Inventory Supply Tracking modules, coordinating all project-related issues and becoming deeply knowledgeable about the organization’s policies, procedures, and business operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary support contact for the application’s end-users.
- Develop, design, configure, script, test, and support applications for business, research, and instructional functions.
- Create programming solutions for day-to-day problems, including maintenance, modification, or development of complex inter-related applications.
- Evaluate hardware availability and software requirements.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
- Guide workflow design, system build, testing, and analysis of technical issues associated with Epic software.
- Implement requested system changes.
- Act as a liaison between end users’ workflow needs and Epic implementation staff.
- Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives, including weekly project team meetings.
- Develop an understanding of operational needs through site visits and integrated sessions to shape workflow direction.
- Review project and issue status with leadership on an ongoing basis.
- Hold weekly team communications to discuss deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, budget, and milestones.
