Certified English Teacher (6 - 12)
About the role
Instructs assigned clients through development of a structured classroom environment that will promote intellectual, emotional and social growth. Plans and implements instructional programs for clients with emotional and behavioral disorders. Plan and implement educational instruction and services in accordance with GA Dept of Education and as required by each student's Individual Education Program (IEP).
Responsibilities
- Teaches according to the Gwinnett County curriculum and Georgia Standards of Excellence.
- Works with other dedicated education professionals to help individuals in need.
- Provides unique programs such as art therapy, animal care therapy, yoga, drama, life-skills and more.
- Offers best available, highest quality, low-cost benefit options.
- Participates in ASCEND - a career accelerator program.
Requirements
- Must be 21+
- Valid Drivers License
- Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred. Georgia Teaching certification: English certification 6-12, Special Education Teaching Certification SPED preferred
- Two (2) years teaching experience preferred

- Greater autonomy and flexibility with teaching plans
- Classrooms equipped with Interactive Boards and educational learning supplies
- Assignment of direct support professional to you classroom
- Unique programs that go beyond basic academic curriculum
Skills
- Ability to work with individuals with emotional and behavioral disorders
- Knowledge of Georgia Department of Education and IEP requirements
- Experience with Gwinnett County curriculum and Georgia Standards of Excellence

Pay
$59,149/year + Additional Compensation for higher certification levels
