Responsibilities
- Impact patient lives daily by influencing the nourishment we provide them
- Provide tasty, nutritional and appealing food in a home-like environment
- Manage a team
- Do menu planning
- Manage and order stock
- Adhere to IDPH regulations
- Jump in where needed to add hands-on support in a very busy commercial kitchen
Qualifications
Officially we title this job a Certified Dietary Director (CDM), but in other centers it may be called a Dietary Services Manager, Director of Dining Services, Food Service Manager, or Director of Food and Nutrition Services.
- Required: CDM - Certified Dietary Manager Certification. If you do not currently hold it, you will be required to obtain within a few months of employment. This is different than the ServeSafe or other Food Service Manager and culinary training licenses/certifications.
- Preferred: Prior experience as a Food Services Director in a medical facility or a central kitchen
- Preferred: Relevant ServSafe, food service & sanitation certifications/training
- Preferred but not required: Nutritional certification
- Preferred but not required: Culinary training
Pay
- Salary: 48-54k, based on credentials and experience
- $500 sign-on bonus to be paid after probationary period (90 days)
Schedule
- Days, with schedule fluctuations and weekend rotations as warranted by the center
