Certified Dietary Manager

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Dietary Department.
• Maintain quality patient care by scheduling department working hours, personnel, and work assignments.
• Develop and participate in on-the-job training and orientation classes for newly assigned department personnel.
• Schedule and/or conduct monthly in-service meetings for department personnel.
• Provide education to other departments within the facility regarding dietary services.

Requirements

• Must be a Certified Dietary Manager.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Two+ years of supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility.
• Training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.
• Maintain current licensure as required by law.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility.
• Education in culinary arts, nutrition, or a related field.
• Ability to manage budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
