Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Dietary Department.
- Maintain quality patient care by scheduling department working hours, personnel, and work assignments.
- Develop and participate in on-the-job training and orientation classes for newly assigned department personnel.
- Schedule and/or conduct monthly in-service meetings for department personnel.
- Provide education to other departments within the facility regarding dietary services.
Requirements
- Must be a Certified Dietary Manager.
- Long-term care experience preferred.
- Two+ years of supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility.
- Training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.
- Maintain current licensure as required by law.
Qualifications
- Experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility.
- Education in culinary arts, nutrition, or a related field.
- Ability to manage budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
