Certified Diagnostic Electrician
About the role
Highly skilled electrical and/or instrument technician who applies a broad level of process and electrical knowledge to maximize and, where possible, improve the efficiency of the overall production process.
Responsibilities
- Safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs and construction
- Perform preventive maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment (i.e. substations, power distribution systems, switchgear motors, motor controls, systems and components, process controls, instrumentation and pneumatic equipment)
- Provide leadership in areas such as safety, environmental, mentoring of new employees and apprentices, cost control, project management, KPI tracking and measurement, and proactive maintenance management processes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Five (5) years of experience in industrial electrical and/or instrumentation repair and maintenance
- Qualified under the company certification process
- Valid state driver's license
- Completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience with VFDs, PLC, HMI, and/or SCADA Control Systems
- Experience with low, medium, and high voltages
- Experience with AC and/or DC controls
- Experience with instrumentation devices
- Experience with diagnostic electrical test equipment
- Experience with HVAC equipment
Skills
- Ability to apply knowledge and skills
- Pass a written assessment where required
Benefits
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $37.00 - $50.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.

Pay
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $37.00 - $50.00/hour.
Schedule
This role is eligible for non-standard schedules, including shift work at a 24/7, 365-day operation.
