About the role
This part-time, on-site Certified Dental Assistant role is based in Charlotte, NC.
Responsibilities
- Preparing treatment rooms
- Assisting the dentist chairside
- Ensuring children and families are comfortable throughout their visits
- Taking and processing dental radiographs
- Recording patient information
- Maintaining accurate charts
- Providing age-appropriate oral hygiene instruction
- Sterilizing and organizing instruments
- Managing clinical supplies
- Following infection control protocols
- Collaborating with the dental team
- Maintaining a friendly, child-focused environment
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Dental Assisting and Dentistry
- Skills in Dental Care and Oral Care
- Skills in Sterilization and infection control
- Current certification as a Dental Assistant (state requirements met)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Previous experience in pediatric dentistry or working with children (highly beneficial)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient comfort skills
- Able to work effectively in a team setting
- Able to follow clinical protocols, pay close attention to detail, and maintain accurate documentation
