Certified Crane Operator

Job Summary

Summers Taylor is seeking a Certified Crane Operator to join their team in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. The role involves operating heavy crane equipment at construction sites, ensuring safety and adherence to industry standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3-5 years of crane operating experience required, with bridge construction experience preferred
• Class A or B CDL license with a clean driving record and current DOT physical card
• CIC, NCCO or equivalent OSHA-approved crane certification required
• Able to lift 50 pounds and perform tasks such as climbing ladders, standing, walking on uneven surfaces, and sitting for long periods

Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate crane to lift and move materials and other objects
• Plan all lifts using capacity charts
• Perform rigging inspection and daily crane inspection
• Respond to hand and verbal instructions
• Observe the travel of all loads and take appropriate action to avoid injury
• Listen to warning alarms and respond accordingly
• Ensure crane or hoisting operations are safe
• Report findings from daily inspections using effective communication skills
• Operate crawler and hydraulic cranes for bridge construction
• Keep equipment clean and well-maintained
