Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician
Position Overview
Under supervision of the section supervisor, performs routine and specialized tests in clinical or pathology laboratory section in a timely manner according to UHS, Hospitals’, Infection Control, Laboratory and Departmental Policies and Procedures, NYSDOH, CDC Blood and Body Fluids policies and procedures. Priority is given to STAT testing and to tests that require immediate processing.

Responsibilities
- Performs routine and specialized tests in clinical or pathology laboratory section in a timely manner according to UHS, Hospitals’, Infection Control, Laboratory and Departmental Policies and Procedures, NYSDOH, CDC Blood and Body Fluids policies and procedures.
- Prioritizes STAT testing and tests requiring immediate processing.
Requirements
- Minimum Required: Associate degree in clinical laboratory technology or equivalent (NYS Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician).
- Preferred: One (1) year of clinical laboratory experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum Required: NYS Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician.
- Must possess a valid & active Driver's License.
- Valid drivers license is preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of UHS, Hospitals’, Infection Control, Laboratory and Departmental Policies and Procedures, NYSDOH, CDC Blood and Body Fluids policies and procedures.
- Ability to prioritize and process tests in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory technology and procedures.

Pay
$27.80 - $41.69 per hour, depending on experience
