Certified Central Service Technician

About the role

The Central Service Technician supports the total health care team at MultiCare Health System by performing tasks such as cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging instruments, maintaining inventory, and transporting supplies and equipment. This position requires a cooperative manner and working under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supports the total health care team by cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging instruments
• Maintains inventory and transports supplies and equipment
• Works cooperatively under direct supervision
• Executes daily routine duties independently
• Prioritizes multiple tasks

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Completion of Central Service Technician course of study or completion of healthcare organization training program (military training or experience satisfies this requirement for WA state employees, per Title 18 RCW)
• In lieu of formal training, candidates with a nationally recognized certification (e.g., CRCST) and/or a minimum of one (1) year of recent sterile processing experience preferred
• Central Service Certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire, as required by location
• Minimum one (1) year of related experience preferred

Pay and Benefits

Competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits, and paid time off are provided. The pay scale is $26.67 - $44.05 USD, influenced by factors such as skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
