About the role

Provides personal caregiving services and support in the client’s home.

Responsibilities

• Aids with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Serves the personal needs, comfort, and safety of clients.
• Prepares meals and assists with special diets.
• Performs general housekeeping and household support activities.
• Offers compassionate companionship and emotional support.
• Affords limited assistance with vital signs for informational purposes only, in accordance with company guidelines.
• Maintains accurate communication and reporting changes in client condition to the appropriate care team.
• Assists with Passive Range of Motion activities when properly credentialed and trained.
• Administers medications as delegated and permitted by state regulations, including completion of Nurse Delegation.
• Completes Diabetes certifications when required.
• Assists with transportation to appointments, errands, and activities.
• Offers limited assistance with vital signs for informational purposes only, in accordance with company guidelines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Current HCA or CNA license required (renewed annually).
• Ability to meet BCCU background check requirements.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently with good judgment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.

• Close, distance, and peripheral vision.

• Exposure to varying temperatures in home or office settings.
