Certified Caregiver - Silver Creek Inn

Part-time opportunity earning between $20 and $22/hour, dependent on experience. Multiple shifts available, including double shift, Sunday - Monday, 6AM - 10PM.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) tasks including but not limited to: bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, serving and assisting with meals, feeding, housekeeping, bed making, and laundry.
• Observe and uphold resident rights at all times.
• Assist residents to and from meals.
• Relate to residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner.
• Work with staff from all departments to ensure quality of care for residents.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents.
• Observe residents for safety and report all changes in resident condition effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner to the Licensed Nurse (LN) on duty.
• Assist other staff as needed on the floor.
• Maintain knowledge of resident care plans.
• Document, communicate, and report any resident or staff incidents in accordance with community policy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Must possess an upbeat, positive, flexible, and enthusiastic personality and be congenial with fellow employees, residents, and the public.
• Must be an honest and dependable individual.
• Must maintain proper hygiene and professional dress and presentation.
• Must be willing to be active during the entire work shift.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in Standard English and use own judgment and initiative in daily activities.
• Must be a mature individual with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
• Must have strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Must be detail-oriented and teamwork-oriented.
• Must attend required in-services/workshops to further education of skills and community requirements.
• Must be drug-free and submit to urinalysis drug screening upon hire and routinely.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations.
• Must have the ability to gain CPR/First-Aid certification as needed in accordance with company policy and applicable state rules and regulations.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Caregiver for Senior Living Certification in accordance with Arizona regulatory requirements, including maintaining CEs and licensure requirements.
• Passed an approved food handler’s or ServSafe course as required by County, State, and/or Community policy.
