Certified Caregiver for Full-Time Day Shifts

Always Best Care Senior Services of Alexandria is seeking caring, flexible, and eager-to‑learn professionals to provide in‑home personal care services to seniors in the greater Alexandria area.

Schedule

Immediate full‑time shifts available: weekday hours between 9 am – 5 pm in Alexandria. Must be comfortable with pets.

Pay

$20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility and transfers.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and light cleaning.
• Monitor and report changes in the client’s health and behavior.
• Maintain a safe and clean living environment.
• Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant certification or license (e.g., CNA, HHA, PCA) sponsored by the Virginia Board of Nursing.
• Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field.
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and assisting clients.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Two (2) professional references.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check.
